Duffy’s recipe for fitness isn’t complicated: train amazing, eat amazing and sleep amazing. “It’s a three-legged stool,” he says. “You need to do all three to get the results you want.”
“You are fitness,” Duffy says. “If you want to change your body, you need to go DO something.”
“There’s no mystery here,” Duffy notes. “Fitness isn’t out there for you to go buy… I don’t need to go to someone to know that a Krispy Kreme donut sucks. Your intensity, how you attack the workout is everything.”
-Duffy Gaver
“Telle me the name of the prover stoon.”
And Plato answerde unto hym anoon,
“Take the stoon that Titanos men name.”
“Which is that?” quod he. “Magnasia is the same,”
Seyde Plato. “Ye sire, and is it thus?
This is ignotum per ignocius!
What is magnasia, good sire, I yow preye?”
-Excerpt from Canon’s Yeoman’s Tale in Canterbury Tales
Why one would insist on attending an event, especially a celebratory gathering, when all you do is cloister yourself and whip out your phone when everyone else is trying to have a good time? Might as well not show up… Don’t put a damper on others’ good vibes.
All in all: If you’re negative, keep that to yourself. Impeding on others’ happiness is an incredibly selfish act that I don’t agree with. I also have the right to choose, for the most part, who I want to be around. That being said, I intend on surrounding myself with positivity and people who uphold that same personal standard.
My first attempt at forming eagle-leg variations in headstand as well as the development of Sirsasana B. Surely a work in progress!
